ARGH Scotland is delighted to announce that Autistic Pride 2026 will once again take place in Bellfield Park, Inverness, on Saturday 20 June, from 11am to 2pm. This free, family‑friendly gathering is open to autistic people of all ages, along with families, friends, and allies.

Inverness has hosted Autistic Pride for several years now, and it’s become a cherished part of the local autistic community calendar. Each year brings new faces, familiar friends, and a growing sense of connection and celebration.

What’s Happening This Year

We’re planning a relaxed, welcoming afternoon with activities designed to be accessible, low‑pressure, and enjoyable for a wide range of sensory needs. You can look forward to:

  • Info Stall – Learn more about ARGH Scotland and autistic‑led community resources.
  • Facepainting (TBC) – Gentle, optional designs for those who enjoy a splash of colour.
  • Craft Activities – A calm creative space to make something to take home.
  • Picnic Area – Bring your own food, chairs, and blankets and enjoy the park together.

Bellfield Park continues to be a brilliant venue, offering open space, shade, and quieter corners for anyone who needs a breather.

Why Autistic Pride Matters

Autistic Pride is a global, autistic‑led celebration rooted in the belief that:

  • Autistic people are valuable exactly as we are
  • Our differences enrich our communities
  • Pride is a powerful response to stigma
  • Joy and connection are worth celebrating

Events like this create space where autistic people can simply be — without pressure to mask or perform.
